This department is the backbone of ZARNet’s core activities through various connectivity solutions that it provides to clients. The Systems Analysis department is responsible for planning and restructuring of the core network to ensure its effectiveness. Under this department is a systematic provision of technical support with internal and external publics to ensure network availability, customer data availability and online campaign management. It is within the operations of this department that the building of strategic relationships with ICT partners is enhanced to ensure compatible linkages in the provision of supreme services to clients. Because of the highly competitive demand in the ICT sector, the Systems Analysis department is also largely responsible for carrying out research on latest technologies used by other Internet Service Providers as a way of building up and expanding the company’s product and service range. The department has a mandate and responsibility to configure, administer and maintain the core network and ensure that network infrastructure is properly maintained for different organisations. Because of the highly volatile nature of the ICT sector, the department keeps abreast of latest technologies on the market and is responsible for the procurement of hardware and software that is used in the organisation. It is within this department that maintaining of software images, routers, switches, firewalls, personal computers and server software is done. As a value added service and competitive effort to retain the clientele base, this department is highly cognisant of the importance of internet connectivity and at all costs maximises network up time. The system analysts in this department are also responsible for scheduling and implementation of routine maintenance tasks. At any given organisation, risks are prone and disasters are inevitable. It is within the parameter of this department that disaster and risk management reduction is a priority. Thus in line with connectivity stages, this technical department is responsible for updating disaster prevention programs, liaising with link providers in troubleshooting problematic connections. Since teamwork is ZARNet's theme song, this department takes charge of corporate training on internet usage and e-mail so as to facilitate smooth running of the organisations’ operations. To add on, this department is responsible for updating the system as soon as a new version of Operating System (OS) and application software is on the market.
